Cuttie Words and Responses

I am a bit surprised hearing some words from my daughter that doesn't seem to sound like a 22month old child! Well, my mom has told me I was speaking so clearly at the age of 2 but with this young little fella here...she can say something like so unexpected!

  • "Bless You" when someone sneezes
  • "I don't like it!" when I serve something she doesn't like
  • "I love you, Mommy!" if I tell here I Love You, Katie!
  • "I'm done!" she says being soaked in the bubble bath for a couple of minutes
  • "Thank you, Daddy/Mommy/Ate" at the appropriate time
  • "You're Welcome!" sometimes she misuses this, saying it right after she is being served!LoL!
  • "Chicken Rice Mommy" when she's hungry!
  • "I want yogurt" and she gets it!hehehehe!

We Talked. We Looked. We Chose.

Two nights ago, I was like so wide awake even late at night and soaked myself in the computer. Hubby came down checking on me thinking why do I look so bothered. I told him honestly that I am worried for our next house. Worried that he might not listen to me and neglect the things that I like. I know it will cost a lot to restore our new place but then again, I want something nice stuff inside. He always tell me maybe, someday and that bothers me! It is very important for me to make the house a home where I love everything and so to settle things around, we searched and looked for furniture and to my surprise, he was happy to find my taste being simple. He thought I am planning to go crazy over furniture. Just like when we picked out something for a dining room furniture, he doesn't like Victorian style with all the accents and details, he likes something simple. I do like both ways but we agreed on the same look! And that's the one right there in the picture! He's sure glad it doesn't cost much and I am sure glad I found! So far, that is the only site we found what we both liked!

Smart Snacking Tips for Children

I happened to click a link where it gives you a great tip of what to give to your child for snacking! I am quite particular of what to give my girls. Usually, we don't let them have too much sweet stuff and high in fat snacks. Sometimes, when outside, I gave them fast food junk. But these are good guideline:

  • To avoid weight gain, keep portions small.
  • Plan ahead and buy healthy snacks at the supermarket - you will save money and will make better choices.
  • Provide kids snack choices and make the choices you offer reasonably nutritious.
  • Pre-portion your child's snacks into small plastic bags to grab on the go or put a snack-sized serving on a plate.
  • For older children, designate an area in your refrigerator or cupboard for healthy snacks that you have selected and your kids like - let them help themselves without having to ask for permission.
  • Combine snacks from at least two food groups, like a protein and a carbohydrate, to pack more nutrients into your child's diets - it will be more filling and will tide them over until their next meal.
    • Adding 1% or skim milk to cereal and graham crackers or peanut butter to crackers or fruit is an easy way to add calcium and protein to an otherwise carbohydrate-only snack.

  • String cheese and fruit (canned or fresh)
  • Nonfat cottage cheese or yogurt with fruit
  • Smoothies with milk or yogurt and sliced bananas or strawberries
  • Whole-wheat crackers with cheese or peanut butter
  • Yogurt with fresh fruit or granola
  • Low-fat chocolate milk
  • Scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt with fresh berries
Fruits and Vegetables
  • Raw vegetable sticks with low-fat yogurt dip, cottage cheese or hummus
  • Apples and cheese - pears and other fresh fruits work too!
  • Baby carrots
  • Fruit salad
  • Applesauce cups (unsweetened)
  • Frozen fruit bars
  • Dried fruit such as raisins or plums and nuts
  • Cereal - dry or with milk
  • Baked potato chips or tortilla chips with salsa
  • Pretzels (lightly salted or unsalted) and a glass of milk
  • Bagels with tomato sauce and melted cheese
  • Flavored rice cakes (like caramel or apple cinnamon) with peanut butter
  • Popcorn - air popped or low-fat microwave
  • Whole-grain crackers or english muffin with peanut butter
  • Vanilla wafers, gingersnaps, graham crackers, animal crackers or fig bars and a glass of milk

And She Doesn't Miss Even One Night!

My eldest daughter, Jessica is so used to being read a book every night during bed time! I implemented this routine but lets hubby read the book since it's a nice time for both of them to spend when hubby is out all day from work and he doesn't mind at all. He loves reading her books and it's funny sometimes when he would grab one of his books if he gets tired of all the kiddie stories. Jessica doesn't mind...any book for her will do! No matter how sleepy or tired she is, she doesn't even want to miss one night! Well, it's a good thing and Katie is getting used to the same routine too!

What Kind of Sandal Are You?

I Wish! I Wish!

If things will work out fine in the farm, I am still hoping and wishing to be able to create a bed and breakfast that I can manage. Not only it gives me something to keep my mind busy, but just a chance to meet all different people and being a social-type of person...I love having guests all the time! It's something I can look forward to and just daydreaming about it makes me all excited! It's just something simple, nothing fancy like Mendocino lodging. You can't beat any bed and breakfast, accommodations and lodging like what they have! Those have private hot tubs, jacuzzi or whirlpool tubs plus some have deck, ocean and garden that's really nice!!! What I have in mind is just a simple bedroom with a country like style with kinda like a park surroundings. Well, maybe someday if God permits!

I Miss My Old Job!

Even though I love spending my time with kids, enjoying my free schedule here at home and doesn't have to get up early in the morning to go to work...I still miss working! My last job was at a Children's Hospital and I was kinda like a floater. They sent me anywhere! First was working as an assistant and I do my routing once a week every department for papers to sign and all that. Next, they move me to purchasing department when one employee went for a leave. I didn't like that much since it was so boring! The last one was at one of the reception desks and it was my favorite among all! Why not? All I have to do were answering phone calls, giving directions to those who inquire and pretty much just sit around play at the computer,LoL! And I get paid to do that, hahahaha! But most of all, I get to meet a lot of people, interact with, it's not boring at all! Plus having to stay in a very nice reception desk! How cool is that??? Well, maybe next time, I'd get a better job when the kids are at school! For now, I just have to enjoy my luxurious time!LoL!

We Were So Close!

Yesterday, it was such a defining moment! We were on our way back to pick up our kids from a friend and at an intersection, driving 50miles an hr. A woman came across us who was supposed to stop since she got a STOP sign and we don't! Unbelievable! She crossed the street at 50miles per hr and we were so close to hitting each other!!! I was so shaken of the event, knowing that we were like seconds from disaster!!! I just couldn't stop thinking, what if the car hits us on my side? I was on the passenger side and there's no way I could survive such impact on that speed!!! My heart really pumped faster, I got chills in my bones and I couldn't breathe...At that moment, a pulse oximeter could've been handy! Just to check my oxygen/pulse rate because I was so shaken of the event! Gosh, I thank God for giving us the extra seconds that we didn't have a crash! Thank God we're okay!

I'm Back At The Rosary Group!

Well, not exactly back...I just attended the Rosary last Sunday! What's great about it is having it nearby our place! Well, I felt really bad when I quit from the group since I couldn't handle the pressure in preparing the house and a dinner meal for about 10 people or more! Having two kids and no extra hand is really tough, I'm sure you understand that, right? hehehehe! Someday when my mom is around, I'll surely go back to the group! Back to my experience last Sunday, I was glad to see old familiar faces again and I couldn't help but admire the beautiful house of the new member who hosted the Rosary! While we were praying, I couldn't stop staring at her beautiful faux wood blinds that looks exactly just like that in the picture! I love it! It's so elegant and tasteful! I'll probably pick out something like that in our new house, someday!

Running Down The Numbers

Just today, hubby has showed me some papers with all numbers in it, explaining this and that and he totally lost me! To tell you honestly, I am not good at numbers and math is my most hated subjects! Wondering why I took Engineering? Well, I was talked into it during my interview, that's why! Anyways, it's just so sad that I married someone who has a business and I have no interest whatsoever on any of his paperwork. I tried before but all I can do is help him in filing, organizing and selling (well, that's good enough, I think!) But I wish I could've helped him more like the management, financing and all the transactions. PROPHIX have this great financial reporting software that is an accessible tool for all those things I just mentioned that I am not capable of doing so. Maybe I should consider this and check it out!

I Wish I Could Go!

I so envy a friend of mine who is leaving tomorrow for Florida! She was shopping with me all afternoon yesterday to find some summer clothes since it's going to be hot out there! Gosh, I could just imagine the sandy beach and soothing sounds of the waves! If only she can pack me with her suitcase, I'm good to go, LoL! If my turn comes along, I'd be getting one of Florida rental vacation to truly have a luxurious stay but still affordable! You know me...I hunt for good deals!

Chit Chat With Friends

I had a blast yesterday shopping and having dinner with friends! They are such a great company and I totally enjoyed our chitchats! It is a great way to catch up on things and unwind too! Although I still have to bring my daughter with me (at least only one since hubby took care of my eldest) it was still a great day to enjoy my time with friends! We happened to talk about work and only one of us is currently working right now. My other friend is having a hard time to find a job since she couldn't drive yet! While me, on the other hand, is considering to have a business someday. Although hubby got a business already, I just thought that it's not something I love to do. I want to get involve with a business that is something I truly enjoy but I know it won't be easy! There's a risk involve, determination, perseverance and well of course knowledge about what I am trying to sell and do a market research to know what people like and don't like and all that! Well, it's like somewhere down the road for now since we have so many things going on right now in our life! But just a thought to ponder and to look forward to!

What A Total Chaos!

Our garage is totally cluttered! I mean totally in chaos! With so many laboratory equipments for my hubby's company, add to that are bicycles, boxes and boxes of stuff and all his tools! We could never fit in any of our car! I have complained several times to my hubby about this issue and have suggested to purchase something like a garage storage to at least organize the place! have an awesome selection of any garage storage and I am considering A Metal Garage Cabinets. Not only that they are affordable, but also it's durable and heavy duty that is totally what my husband would like to have! Well, I have to wait until we move to purchase something like that but for you out there who wants to organize your garage, check out all the professional looking solution for your clutter in your garage at now!

Best Nights of My Life!

Tagged by Juzahlyn...I'll pass this to Wendy, Dzoi, Yen, Vicky, and Lutchi

Rule: Name five of the Best Nights of your Life and then tag four people.

Mine would have to be:

1. the night when I gave birth to my 1st child! That was painful, tiring but memorable which makes it one of the best nights!

2. well, of course, the night that I gave birth to my 2nd child as well! Couldn't get any better!

3. July 18, 2001 - the 1st night that hubby and I are officially married!

4. July 18, 2002 - the night when I first arrived here in US, at long last we were reunited!

5. all the nights that I spend like hours and hours of chat with my husband (be it politics, life, sweet talks or mindless stuff!)

What A Funny Show!

I always enjoyed watching The Simpsons in television and just earlier, I saw one episode where Marge was trying to fit in to all the elite people in a country club! Homer really is funny when he was learning golf and competing with his boss! That reminds me of a friend who loves golfing! I am always wondering why people get into that kind of sports and I have never tried to play that game before. Whenever I go to a golf course, all I really enjoy are the beautiful landscapes and golf carts! Yep, I definitely enjoy riding in one! Oh and by the way, in case you might need some golf cart parts, I just found a great website which sells them...that is at! They don't only sell those for golf cars, but also for commercial and industrial, recreation and utility! Just a great useful link to share!

We Need New Beddings

As I was cleaning up for the garage sale last week, I couldn't help but notice our beddings that are all worn out. I only have two and my favorite one got a rip since I put it in a washer one day. I didn't realize it's not stitched well, too bad! I would love to get something like a luxurious quilted bedspreads since I prefer quilted but the one at I found, is totally pretty! Having embroidered floral design with a satin look fabric, that too me is so charming! You can find nice bedding either Duvet Covers and Bedspreads or Quilted Bed Spreads. They have awesome selection and at a great low prices! Above all, they have quality products available to you online. Start browsing and see for yourself!

Tips On BB Sitting

Taking care of my kids is already a lot of work and add 2 more's calling for trouble! The 1st time I babysat for my friend's kids, I really like it...why so? Because he was already old enough to take care of himself but this time, having an almost 3 and almost 4 plus my kids who are almost 2 and almost 5...well, you can just imagine how it is! BUT I'm slowly learning the trick to keep them all happy! Here's what I do:

  • When they fight with one stuff, I ask them to take their turns like every 5mins. and if that doesn't work, I just take away the toy and let them know, it's causing them trouble so, I have to hide it away unless they learn how to take turns.
  • If they get too hyper, running around and screaming...I settle them down by giving them snacky food and drinks. It is the quiet 10-15mins. of my time,LoL!
  • Reading them a book is a good way to keep them entertained
  • Check online for any interactive games appropriate for their ages!

Gotta Try This!

I've been wanting to try this recipe but never had the chance. Someday soon, I will, I promise! LoL! I just thought it's a great family meal and fairly easy to cook! I've heard great comments about this one so, it's worth a try...

Spaghetti Pie

Though it's really a deep-dish casserole, many Midwesterners lovingly refer to this recipe as Spaghetti Pie. You can substitute plain tomato sauce and add 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, if desired.

1 pound ground round
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce with garlic
1 1/2 cups low-fat sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup (2 ounces) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
4 cups hot cooked spaghetti (about 8 ounces uncooked pasta)
Cooking spray
1 1/3 cups (about 5 ounces) shredded reduced-fat extra-sharp cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350°.

Cook meat in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well, and return meat to pan. Stir in salt, pepper, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Combine the sour cream, green onions, and cream cheese in a small bowl, and set aside. Place the spaghetti noodles in a 2-quart casserole dish coated with cooking spray. Spread the sour cream mixture over spaghetti noodles. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Uncover; bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

Beautiful Selection

I love to visualize in my head how our next house would look like. Although it still needs a lot of work and decorating is the last priority since we needed to change the whole outlook of the house!Still, I love to think of all the great stuff I can add to make it more homey and I couldn't help but browse in the internet. That leads me to a great selection of lights that is just perfect for the bathroom!Scones is what I prefer and for bathroom lighting, there's to find the one that will suit your bathroom! Craving for Cookies

In search for a great cookie recipe, I turn to and wanted something like oatmeal raisin since I have both in my household. It turned out great and we couldn't get enough!

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
1 1/2 c. oats
2 c. raisins
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and water. Slowly beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Press into average size ice cream scoop or 1/4 cup measure and drop onto foil-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Lightly press down with fork into 3 inch circles. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Do not over bake. Carefully transfer to baking racks. Cool. Store in airtight containers with slice of bread (change every 2 days) or freeze up to 1 month. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.

Sunday, August 19

I often find myself daydreaming lately ever since I visited a house that was so beautiful! I mean literally, beautiful! Every piece of furniture...I love! Every moldings and paint colors...I love! Every knick knacks and home accessories...I love! You get the idea,LoL! I just can't help but to envy all their stuff and wishing someday I can decorate our house similar to theirs but not as fancy and less stuff! The one that is really striking for me is the chandelier at their island kitchen! It was so pretty and elegant! Although I didn't like the idea of having candles because I prefer light fixtures and something like what kichler lighting have! Just like that in the picture! That's what really fits to my style and I especially love the hanging crystals, just so charming!

My 1st Garage Sale

Just today I was able to set up a garage sale and it took me all day yesterday to gather all the stuff! We need to get rid of them since we are moving and don't want to pack a lot of stuff! Well, I wasn't really sure if it will be a good sale since it's late for garage sale season already and this neighborhood is like not along the road. I mean, there's a road just right in the corner but it's not common. Not a lof of cars pass by. Oh well, at least we get about $80 from 8am til noon and we will bring everything that's not been sold at flea market tom. We'll see if some might get sold, it's worth a try just for experience. The rest is going to salvation, I'll be off to bed early tonight to get up early too!

Toys Everywhere!

Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the toys around the house! I do have one room for all of my kids' toys but somehow they can still sneak around you and appears at the kitchen floor, living room and bedrooms! It's tough when you walk into some and that really irritates me. No matter how many times I told them to clean up, it's just not easy for them to remember that all the time! I try to minimize and get rid some of the toys but still they just appear out of nowhere,LoL! Where do they come from? Normally from their birthdays and also garage sales. Now, I try to keep them away from any toy stores or sales with toys. I am just amused when my daughters choice of toy is sometimes slot cars!!! I could not say it's for boys only coz hubby doesn't like that! Well, I guess being a kid, you won't know you'll either love it or hate it until you have it!Hehehehe!

Deal is A Deal!

I can't help but planning what type of furniture should I get for our new house and hubby kept reminding me, we are still baking the cake were not at the frosting yet! LoL! But I love frosting and decorating! hehehehe! I will surely be busy finding a furniture store and looking for stuff to put all the pieces together and make it like a home! I kinda like browsing in the internet looking for styles, ideas and inspiration! I made a deal with hubby, he'll take care of the dining set and curio cabinet while I'll take care of the sofa and chairs for the living room! And found something I like at!This is definitely my syle! I like the neutral color that will blend in any shades of wall and its curvy arms that shows a softer side. Gosh! I can't wait to show this to hubby! Well, I know for sure he's not into furniture but I guess that's a good thing coz I'll end up deciding! Well, maybe!

I'm just glad to find that site! They pretty much have everything you need for your house! Either for your living room, dining room, bedrooms, home office and more!!! The best'll get a good deal with their high quality stuff but the lowest prices! Browse now at and I'm going back there to check out more items, hehehe!

Why I love my Mom...

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.

Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.

She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.

She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."

"I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.

She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."

And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?
CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL..... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)

When God Calls

How do you respond if God calls you? How do you even know when God calls you? I often find myself asking all these questions. When I was in high school, even with my stubbornness, rebellion side and just plain ignorant in this world...I have asked all that questions to myself and I truly believe that God called me to go and multiply! Yep, I just knew that getting married at the right age, having kids and have a family...this is what my calling is! But I have friends who do more than this...they extend their help and listening to God's calling in doing a missionary work! I applaud those who have volunteered and do this! I admire their BIG heart and if you belong to any Church groups, humanitarian agencies, NGOs, missionary organizations or even doing it all by can save a lot for missionary fares! At Golden Rule Travel it is possible to get the lowest possible travel airfare! They have checked on all sources to find you the best deal. Their staff involves former missionaries that's why they know what's your main purpose and are able to help you save in your airfares! They are honest Christians who are there to support you and you can read testimonials from other missionary customers to really learn what they have to offer! Visit for more information.

I Don't Think I Can Dance

Last night was the finale of the show So You Think You Can Dance?! Yep, I do watch that show and quite honestly, I didn't like it when it first came out on television and now in its 3rd season, this was the only time where I really got interested since I just happened to flip one night and there was nothing good! Right then, I couldn't help myself but enjoyed the dance moves, the fun of the music and all the great good looking people,LoL! I was really sad when they booted out Pasha coz he is my favorite among all the guys! I know he did pretty well being at the 2nd to the last show but still, I wanted him at the finale...

The show was amazing last night except for Cat Deeley's outfit...I thought it was kinda over the edge and just not bringing out her beauty and she's a gorgeous girl so, she doesn't need no fancy laces and dress! Go For Green!

Have you heard the news lately? British Gas has launched the greenest tariff available on the domestic market! Their electricity for sure has the lowest Carbon emissions. With your home's electricity and gas consumption, there will be no carbon footprint from that since they supply you Zero Carbon! Another great thing aside from protecting our environment and keeping it green, you also help UK Schools reduce carbon emissions too with the non profit British Gas Green Fund! British Gas is the leading installer of energy to UK that is totally efficient and that's what you can energy! Learn more below...

9 August 2007: British Gas has announced it is launching two new green energy tariffs, Zero Carbon, which will be the greenest tariff available on the domestic market and Future Energy. British Gas has launched the tariffs, in response to the increasing demand for green energy products.

Householders signing up to the Zero Carbon tariff will:
• reduce their household energy carbon emissions to zero through Kyoto compliant offset schemes which will meet the new Defra requirements
• help fund a direct increase in investment in renewable energy generated in the UK
• contribute to the new British Gas green fund which will:
o invest in developing new renewable technologies such as wave power
o oversee a programme to help schools in the UK reduce their CO2 emissions

Gearóid Lane, Managing Director British Gas New Energy said,”Our new tariff responds to consumer demand for truly green energy solutions. It is essential that customers have confidence in green energy tariffs and that their credibility is not damaged by tariffs that claim to be green but in reality do not deliver any incremental environmental benefits. Green tariffs are moving from niche to mainstream products and we’re leading the industry by offering a tariff that will do more for the environment than any other product currently available.”

Under the government’s Renewables Obligation (RO), electricity suppliers in the UK are already required to produce an increasing percentage of their electricity through methods such as wind farms which, unlike traditional power plants, produce zero carbon emissions. For 2007/2008 this figure is set at 7.9%.

In a recent report, the National Consumer Council (NCC) raised concerns that some energy suppliers are packaging electricity which is produced under the RO scheme as “green”, yet it delivers no additional environmental benefits. The NCC called on energy suppliers to take steps beyond their legal requirements and offer green energy tariffs that provide genuine additional environmental benefits, in particular CO2 emissions reduction.

British Gas worked with Global Action Plan and The Climate Group’s “We’re in this Together” campaign to develop Zero Carbon which goes further than any other green tariff in meeting these requirements offering consumers the only zero carbon option on the market.

The tariff carries a premium of £84 per year, reflecting the higher cost of producing energy through lower carbon emission schemes.

Virginia Graham, Chair of Global Action Plan, said, “The British Gas Zero Carbon tariff delivers on all three of the essential requirements of a green tariff which are: additionality, transparency and verifiability. As such it is a very welcome new offering in the market. Consumers signing up to the tariff can be confident that they are getting 12 per cent more renewable energy than they would otherwise have got. The carbon emissions from their electricity and gas will also be offset with emissions reductions from projects accredited by the United Nations.”

Zero Carbon is one of the first initiatives launched through the ‘We’re in this Together’ campaign, which was launched in April 07 as an alliance of some of the UK’s biggest brands who are all working to help their customers reduce their impact on the climate.

Dr Steve Howard, CEO of The Climate Group and founder of ‘We’re in this Together’ said, “We’re committed to offering people ways to make a real impact on climate change through We’ve worked with British Gas to ensure that Zero Carbon is a genuine step forward in delivering more environmental benefits than any other tariff currently available.”

British Gas’s second green energy tariff, Future Energy, offers an alternative green electricity tariff at a premium of just £20 per year. Customers signing up to this tariff will contribute to a green fund which will provide solar panels and other renewable energy technologies to UK schools. Money from the fund will also be invested in development of future renewable technologies and sources.

To sign up customers can call British Gas on 0845 604 0055 or visit

Quite frankly, I know nothing about canning! Well, as far as I can remember, during high school days, they have taught us how to canned sardines but if you ask me how...I have no idea! I need a textbook to follow,LoL! When I got over here, I found out how hubby loves to canned tomatoes or anything that he likes. So sad that I couldn't be of any help since I got no interest on that! But he's still hoping someday I will take an interest to learn it especially moving into the farm. Probably my mom and him will be canning,LoL! It would be nice to see so many places that I've never been to. Well, I will for sure consider this when the time comes when that's all we do! There is an elderly travel insurance where we can avail for even by the age over 65! I don't want any excessive premiums being charged for that and if it goes the same way for you, is where you can get travel insurance from the age of 65 up to 79. They cover medical expenses, personal liability, legal costs and more. Get an online quote today online and you'll find out how low the rate is!

My Husband is All Panicky!

Ever since our offer for the farm was accepted, hubby and I couldn't stop talking about what we are going to do first, what to add and to remove, what to plant and to get for animals and all that! But recently, he just constantly bothers me with so many questions and it seems like he is so nervous that we will finally get the farm really soon and not only that, the stress of moving, changing things around, etc. Not only we have to take care of the new place but also this place. To get it ready and sell it! We will get a real estate agent to help us putting this place in the market as soon as possible! Hope we can sell it immediately so, we don't have to deal with 2 houses at the same time! I'm crossing my fingers about this.

The London Eye

I've always wanted to visit London and hubby too! It would make a great 10 yrs anniversary trip as what we have promised if ever we made that far,LoL! There's so much to see there and I can just envision the place as very romantic and perfect to celebrate our anniversary someday (well, I'm hoping just the two of us). First thing I've got to check out is the London Eye! Yes, I just gotta have to ride on it! I have a friend here who has experienced the ride and I saw all the pictures, it's totally magnificent! To be able to see the famous streets, beautiful Churches and buildings and as far as your eyes can take you even to the Windsor Castle - that's totally awesome! I just love sight seeing but I'm not fond of any helicopter rides so, this would be just right for me! I can still have a chance to see the view on top! If time comes, I'd surely need a great deal for a London Hotel that will be affordable and easy on our budget. Since I know, it can be quite pricey out there. So, would be a great source of a place to stay in London since they offer great prices even up to the last minute, you can find a 5 star hotel priced cheaper than any other sites! Gotta visit to believe it!

One Hot County Fair!

Yes, it was a very hot county fair we went to last week but still we manage to have a great time and it was a wonderful family time! I actually didn't think I'd enjoy it since I've been to one already and thought, what else could it be? Just some farm animals that I've seen before...but I really had a great time walking around, checking everything out and well of course, taking pictures! It was also Jessica's 1st time to ride a pony!!! Katie is a little too young and she didn't mind not having any chance to ride the pony so, no big deal. We were quite shock actually when we found out it was $5 for like 6 rounds,LoL! But it's worth every penny seeing this smile...

So Many Clothes!

I am so glad we are having a garage sale this coming Saturday. Aside from getting rid of some junk, I can finally organize our closets as well especially the kid's closet! Ever since I have 2 girls, the clothes are getting out of control! I keep on buying and buying and even getting clothes that are 2 sizes bigger for future use but that actually filled up our closet and made it so hard for me to choose one outfit! There's a cool Baby Clothing Site where you can read about some articles in dealing with baby clothes. Also find out where's the good site to get discounted clothings. For 1st time mother to be, it can be overwhelming on what type of clothes to buy for your coming newborn. It is better to find out what are those that are really useful and what's the appropriate attire and all the accessories that babies will need. All that is discussed in the site! Useful information and a great source for any of baby clothing concerns.

Going Curly!

A new twist and style for mother-daughter same old boring straight friend tried out a curling iron and made our hair more dramatic, i think! My daughter doesn't want to miss out on anything. What mommy does, she wants it too! First time I saw her hair curled and I like it! Mine too!

Have You Done Something Good Today?

I always ask myself this question at the end of the day. It is always nice to do something good to others or even for your own self. That is how we can live a happier and more contented life! If ever you want to do something good today, you are in the right place reading this right now since I found a site where you can help a charity organization of your own choice by a simple act which is to Donate Your Car in Los Angeles! It is free towing in all of Southern California. So, if you are from that area, consider Los Angeles Car Donations to help the needy! At that one simple act of kindness, you open a lot of opportunity like for single mothers, orphans, homeless, teen and adult rehab and prison reform. Why go through the hassle of selling your car? Getting it all fixed up and finding buyers, haggling with the price and all that? Why not just share your blessings to others and not have to go through those ordeal and in return, you get a tax deduction and they provide you a fast online response form and tax advice. But above all, whatever you have given to others, it will return to you in a hundred folds and I always believe in this. The donors like you also made it possible to give away Free DVDs for Kids! Every child will benefit from these DVDs since they can learn valuable lessons and good morals. If you have an organization either Sunday School or preschool, get the Free DVDs at Consider donating your car now even if it's not running, they will do all the repairs and take care of that. So, you have nothing else to worry and leave everything to!

I'm Not Responsible Enough

I hate myself for not being responsible enough on handling bills. Well, actually, it was the main reason why I try to avoid paying bills and let all that responsibility handled over to my hubby. I just thought that I couldn't deal with the constant thoughts of when and what should be paid. But at least I tried once to handle it and sad to say I failed because I missed a lot of bills and I don't know why I couldn't keep track of it. Hubby has warned me, it's totally bad thing because it can reflect on our credit score. He mentioned he had a perfect credit score before he married me and being from another country, I never had any credits and I guess that's why it wasn't that important for me. I even don't know how to read a credit report. If in case we might encounter some problems in our credit records, there's always a way for credit repair and that's the first thing you should do in case you missed payments, have a collection or charge of. Few good points are shared at to get to know credit cards, how to manage credits and repair bad credits. Its direct to the point information helps me understand bits and pieces. Just like learning what credit score their site, it explains that a credit score has a range and depending what your credit score is. You can fall into a range that has great benefits from others. Just like getting 800-900 score, this entitles you to the lowest rate from everything like credit cards, mortgages or auto insurance. Now, that's what I like! But if you got 500 or less, now that's really bad! It simply means you possibly have a serious financial problems and should consult a professional to get an advice and help that you needed!

Well, it was worth every penny having PARMESAN-CRUSTED SICILIAN QUESADILLAS - Sautéed chicken, sausage, bacon, bruschetta salsa and melted Monterey Jack cheese stuffed in a Parmesan-crusted flour tortilla. Drizzled with a Balsamic glaze.

I enjoyed the spicy DRAGON FIRE CHICKEN - Marinated chicken breast topped with fiery Kung Pow sauce, mandarin oranges and pineapple pico de gallo. Served with stir-fried brown rice and cilantro lime seasoned broccoli.

While my friend had a ASIAN-GLAZED CHICKEN ON FIELD GREENS -A juicy chicken breast glazed with spicy Asian sauce, lightly dusted with toasted cashews and macadamia nuts. Served over field greens tossed in Cilantro Lime dressing with red peppers and cucumbers.

BB Sitting Frenzy!

Last week was chaotic! Having to watch 4 kids (2 kids from my friend and 2 mine). They are all the same ages so it was tough to manage but I am getting used to it...maybe or maybe not!LoL! There was a lot of yelling, crying, running feet and all the craziness in the house BUT still I love the fact that kids are having a blast! Not being bored at home, watching cartoons! Having playmates is good for them so, I like to have other kids here at home too! Not like in the Philippines, you don't have to arrange play dates, you step outside and you have plenty of playmates! How Trans Fats Became Our Enemies
(very important to know)

Fat is normally seen as bad for our health but the fact really...there's good and bad fat. It is an important source of energy and essential for growth and development but the ones that we really have to avoid is the trans fat! What it can do to our health is really really not a good thing! And this leads us to hydrogenated fats or oils. When I first knew hubby, when he explained to me about hydrogenated oils, I was like hydro what? I wasn't really eager to listen to him and I was against him when we do our grocery shopping while I was so excited getting the food I want, he's been the one reading labels and telling me we can't have it. On my mind, he's like paranoid! And now he's happy indeed that more and more people are trying to get rid of trans fat in most of our favorite food! Just like the Mayor in NY who banned artificial trans fat at restaurants. Some products have already removed hydrogenated oils in their ingredients like Doritos and some frozen pizza and I'm sure there are more. Now, it makes me think hubby isn't that crazy at all! LoL! I just have to believe others than him...hahahaha! For details about why hydrogenated oils are not good for our health click here!
